Through Hunter’s Fund, students have already led more than 200 Safe Driving Week campaigns, and more than 135,000 young people have signed Hunter’s Pledge, committing themselves to safer choices behind the wheel.

Hunter’s Fund was created after Judy and Jerry Watson lost their 20-year-old son, Hunter, in a distracted-driving crash while he was in college.
Today, students carry Hunter’s story and the safe-driving message directly to their friends and classmates.
Each year, more than 1,400 student volunteers participate in Safe Driving Week campaigns, encouraging their friends and classmates to recognize and avoid distractions behind the wheel.
Alliance members help provide the materials, campaign guidance, campus displays, pledge cards, and staff support needed to make these student-led efforts possible.
Behind every number is a young person who stopped long enough to think about the responsibility that comes with getting behind the wheel.

Campus Sponsor — $1,000 Annually
Help equip a complete student-led Safe Driving Week campaign.
A Campus Sponsor can help provide the materials, guidance, displays, pledge cards, and support needed for a campaign that may reach hundreds or thousands of young drivers.
Sponsors may express a preference for supporting a particular college, university, school, or community, subject to program availability.
Campus Sponsors receive all Founding Organization Member benefits, with the added opportunity to highlight the Safe Driving Week, school, or community they are helping support.
Recognition That Reflects Your Commitment
Founding Organization Members and Campus Sponsors may choose to receive a customized press release recognizing their support and commitment to safer driving.
After joining, members can provide background information, an approved quotation explaining why safer driving matters to them, and local or industry media contacts they would like us to reach.
Hunter’s Fund will prepare the press release and submit it to the member for approval before distribution.
Nothing will be distributed without the member’s approval.
