Behavioral studies have shown that signing a written pledge can change behavior 47% more than any other incentive! 

Pledge signing campaigns to encourage your classmates to sign pledges not to drive distracted are what many student groups, working with the Hunter's Fund, are doing. 

This past school year, over 800 volunteers on 25 campuses convinced more than seventeen thousand students across the country to sign 'Hunter's Pledge to end Distracted Driving.'

Hunter’s Fund will supply you with a complete Campaign Kit to carry out a successful campaign.

 A Campaign Kit that includes banners, wrist bands, pledge cards, posters, and “I Pledged” stickers, prepackaged in a tote bag that can be taken directly to your tables for easy set up.

 All you need to do is for your membership to volunteer to make it a success and set up table(s) around campus to encourage students to sign a pledge.

A fun and easy way to collect pledges and raise awareness. Hunter's Fund will support you with a Free Campaign Kit that includes table front banners, posters, pledge cards, wrist bands in your school colors, "I pledged" stickers, and a "how to" guide. You only need to provide the volunteers to staff pledging tables on campus. Best practice Tabling Hints can be found here.

 
 

The goal is to collect as many pledges as possible, encouraging students to change their behavior not to drive distracted. A single day of tabling can average collecting 450 signed pledges per table. That's 450 potential lives saved.

Pledges will be combined with those from other campuses. Those who choose to include their email address, will be invited to participate in a continuing academic study to determine the effectiveness of the program and receive reminders of the importance of not driving distracted. Pledge signers witll NOT receive solications for donations and they may opt-out at any time. Their email addresses will only be used for this program and never shared or given to others for any reason.

How is the Campaign funded? - Campaign Kits, support for your efforts, the research study, and continuing education are funded by Hunter's Fund from donations raised during the campaigns and from others concerned about the loss of life from distracted driving.

Other - Even if you are not a student or directly involved with an educational institution, you can still participate in the Safe Driving Campaign through your financial support of these programs at campuses nationwide. You can also sign a pledge not to drive distracted yourself.

 
 

 
 

Awareness Day

To help build awareness of the dangers of distracted driving and promote your Tabling Day, members create awareness using our awareness-building platform by posting to their social media - Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram the importance of safe driving and encourage donations for spreading the campaign to more schools to help save lives. This social media effort is easy and only takes a few minutes of a member's time. Social Media Day can be coordinated in a single day but must begin at least a week before tabling begins.

AWARENESS BUILDING SOCIAL MediA FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN

 
 

A social media campaign is a great way to bring your entire organization together for a single purpose.

Launching the Awareness Campaign, a week before the Tabling event is the first step in building awareness of the dangers of distracted driving and support for your Tabling event and a valuable way to connect your organizations' members to their friends and family. It shows that you are committed to educating others about the dangers of distracted driving.

An option to get members excited about the Campaign is to consider setting up Class Teams. Each team member joins a Team and then makes their personal page, but the results are also credited to their Class page. Being a part of a Team can build a little competition and help individual members conquer their fears about asking for donations!

Other Team building ideas are Clubs vs. Clubs, Schools vs. Schools or for Greeks -Pledges vs. Actives.
