Many young people who receive Hunter’s Fund Grants are developing promising ideas with limited access to experienced advisers.

A thoughtful conversation, occasional email, or helpful introduction could give a young entrepreneur, artist, inventor, or community leader the encouragement and direction needed to take an important next step.

There is no commitment today.

Tell us about your experience, and we will contact you only when we identify a grant recipient who may be a good match.

You decide then whether you are interested and available.

How It Works

Select the areas in which you may be able to offer advice, encouragement, or professional insight.

2. We Look for a Possible Match

When a Hunter’s Fund Grant recipient could benefit from your background, we will send you information about the young person and the project.

3. You Decide

There is no obligation to accept a mentoring opportunity. You decide whether the match feels right and whether you have the time to help.

Mentoring Can Be Simple

Mentoring does not have to require a large time commitment.

A brief monthly phone or Zoom conversation—or even an occasional email or text—can provide valuable encouragement and practical guidance.

You might help a young person:

• Think through a business or project idea

• Prepare a presentation or proposal

• Develop a marketing or social media plan

• Understand finances, pricing, or budgeting

• Make a professional connection

• Work through a challenge

• Gain confidence in the next step

Just 30 minutes a month could help change a young person’s life.
