Certifying Service Hours for Digital Badges

Service hours required to earn digital badges should be properly verified to ensure fairness and accountability. Each fraternity or campus organization hosting a Safe Driving Campaign will be responsible for tracking and confirming participation in volunteer activities.

Process for Certifying Service Hours:

  1. Sign-In and Sign-Out Sheets – Volunteers staffing pledge tables should sign in and out on a designated sheet managed by the Philanthropy Committee or event coordinator.

  2. Committee Oversight – The chapter’s Philanthropy Committee or designated leadership team will verify the hours worked by each participant.

  3. Event Coordinator Verification—An appointed chapter officer or campaign organizer must review and confirm that the recorded hours correspond to actual participation.

  4. Submission for Approval – After the Safe Driving Campaign, the verified hours should be submitted to the designated Hunter’s Fund representative.

  5. Badge Awarding – Once the required service hours and fundraising milestones are met, digital badges will be awarded through the designated system, such as email confirmation or profile updates in the campaign portal.

Additional Considerations:

  • Chapters are welcome to use digital check-in tools, like Google Forms or attendance apps, to make tracking service hours easier and more efficient.

  • If there are any questions about recorded hours, volunteers can check in with their chapter’s philanthropy chair or campaign coordinator for clarification.

  • To help document participation, volunteers are encouraged to take photos or share a brief reflection about their experience.

By following these steps, we can ensure that all service hours are accurately recorded, fostering a transparent and rewarding experience for all participants.

Together, We Can Make a Difference!

Your efforts directly support the fight against distracted driving. Every pledge signed, dollar raised, and hour volunteered gets us closer to safer roads and fewer lives lost.
