Hunter’s Fund continues to grow through the generosity of donors who believe deeply in our mission—and step forward to expand what’s possible.

Gordon Carter, a loyal supporter of both our Safe Driving programs and our grants for young innovators, recently made a $5,000 gift that will make possible the funding of an additional grant this year. In recognition of his commitment, this opportunity will be awarded as the Gordon Carter Award.

Gordon’s philanthropy reflects a lifelong belief in investing in young people. In addition to his support of Hunter’s Fund, he has been an advocate for programs that open doors for others—whether helping students access education or supporting adaptive athletics programs that empower impaired student-athletes to compete at the highest levels.

At Hunter’s Fund, his impact is already being felt. His support of Safe Driving efforts—including offering to match gifts from others—has helped expand campaigns that have inspired more than 125,000 students to pledge not to drive distracted.
