Damaris (Koi) Munyua created Slaystainable to rethink the traditional wig cap. Her concept focused on eco-friendliness, durability, comfort, and a wider range of colors that could better match different skin tones, while giving customers an at-home alternative to more expensive professional installation.
She planned to use the award to address early startup needs such as intellectual-property work, materials, and the steps required to prepare the product for market.
