Making College Move-Out Less Wasteful and More Affordable
ReDorm
College move-out can turn perfectly useful appliances, electronics, and furniture into trash almost overnight.
Fernanda Kligerman and Mariah Brown created ReDorm to give those items another life. The venture combines a used-goods marketplace with pickup, storage, and resale so one student's unwanted dorm item can become an affordable option for another.
The model addresses two problems at once: the waste created at the end of a semester and the high cost students face when furnishing a room at the beginning of one.
