One pair of glasses can work perfectly today and feel wrong as soon as a prescription changes.
Jacob Kaplan is developing HexFlex through OtherTech, a tunable prescription lens concept designed to adjust as a person's vision needs change. Instead of switching among distance glasses, reading glasses, and progressives, the idea is for the lens itself to change dynamically while fitting different frame shapes.
The award gives Jacob support to keep exploring whether one adaptable lens can do work that currently requires several different pairs of glasses.
