An Early Sustainability Idea Led to Something Much Bigger
Drop Top / Sustainable Irrigation
Saving water in agriculture can begin with improving something as simple as the way each drop reaches a plant.
As a Syracuse University student, Jason Kuperberg worked with Matthew Goodman on Drop Top, a sustainability venture designed to conserve water and improve the efficiency of drip irrigation for crops. Their team received one of Hunter's Fund's inaugural Spirit of Entrepreneurship Awards.
That early entrepreneurial experience was only the beginning.
Jason later joined Matt Shumer to create OthersideAI. In 2024, Forbes named the pair to its 30 Under 30 list in consumer technology. Hunter's Fund reported that OthersideAI had been on track to generate $1 million in revenue in 2023.
Jason has also stayed connected to young entrepreneurs, serving as a volunteer entrepreneur in residence and mentoring student startups.
