Bringing a New Kind of Creativity to St. Vincent

Vincitech / Video Game Development Studio

In a global industry worth over $200 billion, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines native Oshakie Gittens is determined to put his home island on the map. After nine years of teaching himself coding and game design, Oshakie is now launching Vincitech , an independent video game development studio in his village of North Union.

"A gaming studio in St. Vincent and the Grenadines provides an opportunity for young creators and individuals to bring their ideas to life through electronic art," Oshakie explains.

Vincitech 's games will be free to play, available through mobile apps and social media, and will explore cutting-edge technology including 3D, virtual reality, and augmented reality. By creating digital art rooted in local talent, Oshakie hopes to bring visibility and opportunity to his community.

With support from his Hunter's Fund grant, he will purchase new computer equipment and software assets, laying the foundation for the island's first-ever homegrown game studio.

What your support made possible:

Game-development equipment and software to help Oshakie build Vincitech and create original video-game work in St. Vincent.

Because of you... Oshakie can keep building and testing Vincitech / Video Game Development Studio around the real problem it is designed to solve.
