Restoring Furniture and Opportunity
Reupholstered Futures
Sometimes one practical skill changes the direction of a life. For Thaddeus Clarke, that skill is upholstery.
Thaddeus left school as a teenager after traditional classrooms did not fit the way he learns, but he kept moving forward. He began working in upholstery shops at a young age and built experience repairing furniture, rebuilding frames, and working with different fabrics and materials.
Now he is launching Reupholstered Futures, a repair and restoration shop for cars and furniture. He hopes the business can help customers save money and reduce waste, while eventually giving other young people practical skills, income, and a path forward.
What your support made possible:
Startup tools and materials, including an industrial sewing machine, a hydraulic riveting tool, and upholstery supplies such as fabric, foam, and leather.
Because of you... Thaddeus can restore more than furniture. He can build a trade into opportunity for himself and, eventually, other young people.
