Hamaas Khaalis brings vision and voice to his debut album

Hamaas Daud Khaalis, a talented music composer and artist from Washington, D.C., is taking the next step in his creative journey with the support of a Hunter’s Fund grant. A graduate of Marymount University,

Hamaas has dedicated countless hours and personal resources to writing and recording original music. With a catalog of songs already written, his dream is now within reach—transforming them into a polished six-song album.

The grant will help cover high-quality mastering and other essential production services, ensuring his work achieves the professional finish it deserves. In addition, the support will make it possible to promote the album effectively, expanding his reach to new listeners.

Looking ahead, Hamaas plans to produce a music video for one of the singles and launch a promotional campaign across social media. His passion for composing, writing lyrics, and recording mirrors the same creative spirit Hunter Watson carried, making his project a meaningful continuation of that legacy.
