Herbert Padilla channels his passion for music into a career path
Herbert Padilla, a marketing major and music industry minor at James Madison University, has always been known as the “music man.” Whether he’s attending live concerts, creating playlists for friends, or DJ’ing, Herbert’s love for music is evident to everyone around him. For him, music isn’t just entertainment—it’s a way to connect people and foster community through shared experiences.
Although Herbert never met Hunter Watson during his time at The Potomac School in Virginia, he feels inspired by Hunter’s example and his passion for music. Carrying that spirit forward, Herbert is determined to turn his own love of sound into both an art form and a profession.
With the support of his Hunter’s Fund grant, Herbert will acquire professional DJ and production equipment that will allow him to perform independently, generate income, and continue developing his musical talents. His long-term goal is to build a career in the music industry, where he can keep spreading the joy of music to others.
