September 18th is Hunter Watson’s birthday, a time of remembrance for all who knew him and who have been impacted by his legacy through Hunter’s Fund. Had his life not been cut short by a distracted driver in June 2016, Hunter would have been 26 years old this year.

At Hunter’s Fund, we’re working to stop preventable deaths like Hunter’s by creating safer drivers. Through pledge campaigns on college campuses throughout the United States, Hunter’s Fund directly engages young drivers in the effort to create safer roads. We’re also carrying on Hunter’s entrepreneurial spirit by distributing grants to young entrepreneurs in hopes of helping creators like Hunter manifest their creative visions and dreams.

“What made Hunter so unique was that he had a vision he believed in, and he didn’t care if 1,000 people told him it wouldn’t work. His drive and self-belief drowned out the naysayers’ voices. His “Why Not Me” approach to life was a rare attribute and was also the reason why he was admired by many friends, which later became the inspiration behind Hunter’s Grants program.”

Each year on Hunter’s Birthday, we ask our community to help raise funds to support Hunter’s Fund’s dual missions and in turn create a safer, more creative world for young people.

Hunter’s Pledge was designed to encourage drivers to commit to safe driving habits.

Hunter’s Fund

Hunter’s Fund honors the life of Hunter Watson, a young man of extremely diverse talents who was killed at 20-years-old when he was fatally injured as a passenger in a distracted driving collision.

Through distracted driving education and awarding grants to help young people’s involvement in performing arts, music, computer science, and entrepreneurship, Hunter’s Fund empowers young people in their careers and keeps Hunter’s spirit alive.
