Spreading Light and Creativity Through Art

Jessica O’Connor believes art can change how people feel the moment they put it on.

Through her growing business, Jess Tries to Paint, she creates one-of-a-kind pieces like custom sports jerseys and hand-painted jackets—work that’s bold, personal, and made to be seen.

Jessica’s path has always been driven by grit. She worked full-time while putting herself through college and built her career step by step. Now she’s turning her creative talent into a business with real momentum.

“This business represents both my passion and my determination as a young entrepreneur,” Jessica says.

Because of your support of Hunter’s Fund, Jessica received a grant that helps her take the next step—investing in quality supplies and securing a dedicated studio space. That workspace means more time focused on painting, a more professional setup for her clients, and the ability to grow with confidence.

Jessica has already created custom pieces for NFL team photographers and hosted local art events. And as her work reaches more people, she hopes it encourages other young women to trust their talent and keep going.

Thank you for being part of Jessica’s story—and for helping a young artist build a future rooted in creativity.
