Louis Cardozo takes his music — and piano — to new heights

Bristol-based musician and filmmaker Louis Cardozo has proven that creativity truly knows no bounds. With support from his Hunter’s Fund grant, Louis brought to life an extraordinary idea — performing his song “Fly” on a flying piano. The ambitious project culminated in a breathtaking music video and an inspiring behind-the-scenes feature that showcase his ingenuity, resilience, and passion.

The song “Fly” is deeply personal, reflecting Louis’s journey of healing and perseverance through depression. “It’s a song about triumph despite our lowest moments,” he explains. “It’s a song you can listen to when everything else has gone wrong.”

Louis’s family played a major role in bringing the concept to life, helping him engineer the airborne piano and film under challenging weather conditions.

With plans to release six songs in six months, Louis continues to merge art, music, and courage — embodying the spirit of innovation and perseverance celebrated by Hunter’s Fund.
