Nolliesha Gordon builds a creative home for her music
For Nolliesha Gordon, music has always been more than a hobby—it’s how she connects, expresses herself, and makes sense of the world around her. With support from a Hunter’s Fund grant, she is taking a meaningful next step by creating her own home recording space where ideas can grow into fully realized songs.
Her project, Musical Production Tools, centers on building a small but powerful studio equipped with the essentials: a microphone, audio interface, software, and laptop. This setup will allow Nolliesha to write, record, and produce her original music independently.
“The main purpose of this project is to further my musical production by purchasing all the necessary tools needed to create my music,” she explains.
Over the next year, Nolliesha plans to immerse herself in music production—experimenting with sound, refining her songwriting, and discovering her artistic voice. She also hopes to share what she learns with others along the way.
Her journey reflects the heart of Hunter’s Fund: empowering young artists to turn creativity into confidence, contribution, and a voice that inspires.
