Pranav Krishnan develops AI tools to make the legal system smarter

Texas A&M University student Pranav Krishnan, majoring in Management Information Systems, is using artificial intelligence to modernize the legal world. As co-founder of Novation, Pranav is building intelligent legal infrastructure designed to make the law dynamic, efficient, and capable of real-time analysis.

Novation’s first innovation, the AI Trademark Analyst, automates the process of analyzing and validating trademarks—an area often slowed by human error and long wait times. The tool dramatically reduces research hours and minimizes legal disputes for entrepreneurs and law firms. Several firms have already tested the system and expressed strong interest in purchasing it.

With support from his Hunter’s Fund grant, Pranav is expanding access to the legal data needed to train the system and funding cloud infrastructure for large-scale deployment.

“I’ve spent over 500 hours developing the business plan, model, and prototype,” Pranav says. His vision for Novation reflects the mission of Hunter’s Fund—empowering young innovators to use technology to solve real-world problems and create smarter, more equitable systems.
