Tamisha Prescott turns a passion for baking into a growing business

From her cozy kitchen in a small village in St. Vincent, Tamisha Prescott has been building more than desserts—she’s been creating opportunity. What began as a weekend passion project, Miesha’s Brownies, quickly became a growing small business fueled by dedication, creativity, and a love of bringing people together.

“I’ve invested many hours preparing and perfecting my recipes,” Tamisha says. “Each batch teaches me something new about patience, balance, and care.”

When Tamisha applied for a Hunter’s Fund grant, she came with a clear plan: expand production by investing in upgraded baking equipment and supplies. The goal is to reach new customers and develop flavors inspired by her community’s favorites.

Her approach reflects the same discipline that shaped her journey—careful budgeting, reinvesting profits, and managing her time so her business can grow sustainably.
