What Safe Driving Week Looks Like
Safe Driving Week is easy to picture once you know the basic plan.
Most groups start with a table in a busy place on campus. That might be a student center, dining hall, library, quad, or another high-traffic spot. Volunteers ask students to sign Hunter’s Pledge and commit to driving without distractions.
Hunter’s Fund helps provide the materials, including pledge cards, posters, banners, and other campaign tools. Some groups also use wristbands, stickers, shirts, or social media posts to help the message spread beyond the table.
A Safe Driving Week can be hosted by a fraternity, sorority, club, team, service group, or another student organization. Groups can also work together. In fact, partnering with another organization can make the week more fun and help reach more people.
Many campaigns include a fundraiser too. Groups might host a car wash, Pie in the Face event, restaurant night, 5K, talent show, or another simple event that fits their campus.
The week does not need to be perfect. It just needs students who are willing to show up, talk to their classmates, and make the message visible.
Safe Driving Week is student-led, simple to start, and built around one clear reminder: drive focused. Keep your friends safe. Never let a text be the reason someone does not make it home.
