Hunter’s Fund was born from heartbreak — and built on hope.
When Jerry and Judy Watson lost their son, Hunter, in a distracted driving accident during college, they chose action over silence.

Hunter was a dreamer — passionate about music, coding, the environment, and bringing people together. His light inspired those around him. Now, it inspires a movement.

Today, Jerry gives voice to Hunter’s legacy. Judy shaped a brand that now reaches thousands of students nationwide — turning loss into lasting change.

What We Do

Our mission: protect lives and empower dreams.

We began by fighting distracted driving — hosting more than 200 Safe Driving Weeks on college campuses. Nearly 100,000 students have signed Hunter’s Pledge.

But saving lives isn’t where it ends. We also fund young changemakers — helping more than 90 artists, entrepreneurs, and innovators pursue bold ideas through grants, mentorship, and visibility.
