A young craft can disappear when access to the right tools ends. With equipment of his own, a promising woodworker can keep learning, take on real projects, and carry his skills into the future.
Aman Sharma, a high school student approaching his senior year, has spent nearly three years turning raw wood into furniture, sculptures, and useful objects. What began as a school activity has become a serious craft and the beginning of a custom woodworking business. As his access to school makerspaces and shared equipment becomes limited, continuing independently has become the next challenge.
Aman has completed numerous projects, assisted other students in his school Innovation Lab, and gained additional experience through an internship at Wichita State University. He has carefully researched the portable tools he needs to work safely and continue building.
