Turning Down the Noise and Building a Brand
Missed Calls Clothing
Clark Atlanta University student Amari Currie is turning creativity and leadership into purpose through his apparel brand, Missed Calls Clothing . A Business Administration major with a focus in Supply Chain Management, Amari founded the company in early 2023 to help people "leave negativity behind and stay focused on what matters."
Each Missed Calls sweatsuit features the phrase "D.N.D. WARRIOR" across the front, a bold reminder to block out distractions and protect one's peace. "I am a natural-born creative leader," Amari says. "Starting this brand has helped me grow as a person, as a business owner, and as someone leading a group toward a common goal."
With support from his Hunter's Fund grant , Amari plans to expand production and reach new audiences with his message of resilience and self-discipline. "Missed Calls Clothing is the ultimate leadership test for me, and I fully intend to see this project through," he shares.
Through his work, Amari continues to embody the focus, growth, and determination that define Hunter's Fund recipients.
