Bringing Coding Skills Across Borders
Code++
Claire Howard and Gabriella Coada wanted young people far from major technology centers to have a first chance to discover coding.
Through Code++, they developed camps that introduced computer programming to students in developing communities. The work treated coding as more than a job skill. It was a way to help young people experiment, solve problems, and imagine possibilities they may not have encountered before.
Hunter's Fund later reported that the coding camps in Moldova continued beyond the original award, extending the opportunity to new students.
