Turning Campus Waste Into Something Students Can Use Again
Revamped
At the end of a college semester, clothing that still has years of life left can disappear into dumpsters simply because students need to move out quickly.
Isabella Carter and Ava Lubkemann created Revamped to make reuse easier on campus. Their mobile thrift and donation concept collects discarded clothing where students live, redistributes useful items, and studies waste patterns that could help the model expand.
Early work at Syracuse showed that students were willing to give clothing another life when the process was convenient. The idea turns move-out waste into lower-cost goods and a new source of value.
