Showing How Three Dollars Can Add Up
3 Dollar Challenge
Three dollars does not sound like much until thousands of people decide it is enough to begin helping.
Jack Adler and his twin sister Kate developed the 3 Dollar Challenge around micro-giving. Their idea was to make philanthropy feel accessible by asking people for a small gift and using social media to encourage those donors to bring others into the effort.
The project showed Jack that generosity does not have to begin with a large check. It can begin by lowering the barrier to participation and making it easy for more people to join.
