Creating the Community She Wished She Had
Wo-manly
Sometimes the best entrepreneurial ideas begin with something the founder has felt missing in her own life.
For Kelly Davis, that was a stronger community where young women could connect, encourage one another, find mentors, and share useful resources.
A Syracuse University student studying both Television, Radio & Film and Entrepreneurship & Emerging Enterprises, Kelly created Wo-manly as a platform centered on women-driven communities.
She envisioned discussions around networking, mentorship, resources, and personal growth. The platform would span different interests rather than concentrating on a single topic, and Kelly also wanted men to have a place in the conversation.
"Why me? Because I've been there," she said.
Kelly planned to build a beta version, recruit additional development talent, host regular empowerment events, and begin growing an online community.
What your support made possible:
Funding to develop and test Wo-manly, add development help, address startup fees, and begin marketing the platform.
Because of you... Kelly can begin creating the kind of supportive community she once searched for herself and invite other young women to find connection, encouragement, and opportunity there.
