Rethinking Fashion After Seeing Its Hidden Cost

Re-Mend

Working in fashion showed Rabia Razzaq both the creativity of the industry and the environmental cost hidden behind it.

After seeing severe air pollution in Pakistan and learning more about the textile industry's role, Rabia began pursuing Re-Mend. The service model repurposes and restyles garments, using community skills to make clothing functional, fashionable, and accessible rather than disposable.

Her broader work has also included research into sustainable materials and packaging, reflecting a desire to redesign parts of fashion instead of simply accepting the waste built into them.
