Turning a Seventh-Grade Weather Blog Into a Business

Weather Optics

Most seventh-grade weather projects do not become companies. Scott Pecoriello kept going long after the first forecast.

He began sharing weather information while still in school and developed that interest into Weather Optics, a business built around weather data and forecasting information for businesses and consumers. By college, the venture had already grown beyond a student hobby into a service with real users and clients.

Scott saw that weather information could be more useful when it was translated into decisions people and businesses could act on.

What your support made possible:

A Spirit of Entrepreneurship Award providing early funding and recognition to help Scott continue developing Weather Optics.

Because of you... Scott received an early vote of confidence and resources to keep testing what Weather Optics might become.
