Making a Better Kind of College Snack

MUNCH Jerky

A piece of homemade beef jerky at a golf course gave Selim Dangoor an unexpected business idea.

While studying public relations and finance at Syracuse University, Selim began developing MUNCH Jerky, an artisanal snack brand for people who wanted natural ingredients without giving up flavor. He tested flavors and planned to begin with direct-to-consumer sales before exploring larger distribution.

A later Hunter's Fund story described MUNCH as a hit with students on campus and showed how grants and pitch competitions helped Selim keep developing the brand while completing his degree.

What your support made possible:

A Spirit of Entrepreneurship Award providing early funding and recognition to help Selim continue developing MUNCH Jerky.

Because of you... Selim received an early vote of confidence and resources to keep testing what MUNCH Jerky might become.
