Anyone who styles their own hair knows the problem: a regular mirror can make it surprisingly difficult to see the back of your head.
Za'Tozia Duffie created MirrorZ60 to give users a clearer view of areas that ordinary mirrors make hard to see. She designed the idea for broad use across different heights, backgrounds, and hair types, with particular value for people doing their own hair or anyone who has difficulty repositioning mirrors.
The award helped Za'Tozia move toward a prototype and test whether a frustration she experienced herself could become a useful product for many other people.
